Google would not be Google if every job advertisement would just appear in the search results. To do this, certain specifications have to be met so that the ads can be handed over to Google and processed in the first place. The basic requirement for everything that should be switched on Google is that a bot is allowed to crawl the website and is not blocked by a robot.txt or a meta tag. In addition, it must also be stored in the host settings that a high crawl frequency is permitted and the data type “JobPosting” must also be stored in the code in order to guarantee a transfer.
In addition, a new or updated XML sitemap must be provided, which can be transferred to Google using a tool.
In addition to the possibility of indexing the job advertisement directly via the career page, this can also be published using an applicant management system. This is especially recommended if you don't have your own career page. In the case of a non-native integration via a BMS, it should be checked in any case whether the provider of the tool meets all specifications. If these are not met, you should urgently clarify whether the adjustments are still planned or not. In this case, a change of provider is recommended so that it can also be displayed in the job search and thus offer transparent and up-to-date recruiting and benefit from it.
Another option is to post job advertisements via platforms such as XING or LinkedIn. In addition to Monster, these two networks are the official launch partners on the German market and therefore offer all the necessary attributes. In this way, job advertisements that are placed through these portals are published when the job is searched. However, it should be noted that potential applicants on the partner platforms are again prevented from actually applying by job advertisements from competitors.
Of course, we at SEO for Jobs also offer the preparation of job advertisements. However, we are completely in the background and are not visible to the applicant. Applicants will immediately see the job posting on the company's website. In a consultation, we would be happy to show you the individual options and make an offer – or just try it here.
